Giving Voice to the Unborn

When pro-life people speak, pro-abortion people jeer. Sneer. Insult. Swear. Cry. Whine. Pontificate. Etc. But check out what happens when the unborn speak: Here is a video of pregnant activists giving a voice to the preborn: https://t.co/2tzlIrj8js https://t.co/bA6jnLBge3 — Feminists for Life (@Feminists4Life) January 28, 2018 That is beautiful.

A Glimpse Into the Minds of the Ruling Class

Count It All Joy

Imagine you are standing in your backyard garden contemplating tackling the constantly encroaching weeds.   Suddenly, the rose bush bursts into flames!   The earth beneath your feet trembles - not to mention your heart.   The shock diminishes enough to release your legs from their prison and you move closer to the rose bush which for some unknown reason remains in tact instead of being reduced to a pile of ash.   Your entire body is suddenly attuned to a soft, quiet voice calling your name.   No amount of searching reveals the source but the call is so persistent, you finally acknowledge it.    It's God.   He has a mission for you.   It won't be easy or glamorous.   No fame or fortune - in fact quite the opposite.    Would you take the call?    As is often the case, the Bible has some guidance to offer. Jonah ran from his call and we all know the result of that decision.   His acceptance of God's call on his life was done with reluctance and a great deal of po

Mark Steyn and the Feminist Preacher Were Right

I was driving across my adopted state of South Dakota.  It was a long drive.  All of the drives across South Dakota are the long drives. (OK, enough with the Hemingway schtick). To stay awake at the wheel, I took a stab at calling the national talk show on the car radio.  Lo and behold, I wound up on air with conservative commentator   Mark Steyn. Flash back to the early 80s.  I'm a self absorbed seminarian.  In chapel, one of the cresting wave of feminist students (LGBT wave welling up right behind) was in the pulpit. There will be no rape in the kingdom , she intoned, and then narrowed her eyes and made an accusing scan of the the pews. Yeah,

WELCOME to our new blog, No Human Gospel.  We are a group of bloggers, some of whom used to post at Stand Firm in Faith until that site went dark, and we have looked for an opportunity to expand our horizons ever since.  For now, we are using the Blogger platform because it’s simple to get up and running.  Also, we will be moderating all comments here, until we get comfortable with our audience.     We take as our theme the words of St. Paul, in his letter to the Galatians (1:8, 11-12): “Even if we – or, for that matter, an angel from heaven! – were to announce to you some so-called “Good News” contrary to the Good News we did announce to you, let him be under a curse forever! . . . Furthermore, let me make clear to you, brothers, that the Good News as I proclaim it is not a human product, because neither did I receive it from someone else nor was I taught it – it came through a direct revelation from Jesus the Messiah.”     Though we are not all of the same denomination, we agree
